Welcome to: Doctor Who
It has been over two years since I watched my first episode of Doctor Who. Being American and growing up after the cancellation of the original series, I had no knowledge of the Sci-Fi phenomenon which followed the adventures of a renegade Timelord known as "The Doctor". Looking back it seems preposterous that I had never heard of this wonderful series.
Yet I know that still millions of Americans, even geek Americans, have never followed The Doctor on one of his many travels. It is my goal to change this. I will spread the word to my geek friends all around the globe that The Doctor is out there and he is absolutely brilliant!
With the company of my wife, Cathy, and my friend, Kyle, we will be reliving the greatest parts of the Doctor's journeys. Therefore, starting this fall, every Sunday night we will tune in for an hour or two and witness one of his many incarnations as he flees through time.
We will start our marathon with the Eighth Doctor in "The Enemy Within", better known as "Doctor Who: The Movie". From there, we will continue with the Ninth, Tenth and Eleventh Doctor adventures. We will also take some brief glimpses of the Classic series that ran from 1963 - 1989 (though some of these are a bit dated).
So join us on our epic journey as we time-jump through the many eras of the Doctor's long history! Allonze!
